Meet Dr. Olstein
Joshua Olstein, MD, is a highly respected physician who has been serving the community in and around New City, New York, at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland PC since 2011.
Dr. Olstein graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2000 and earned his medical degree in 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He pursued his postgraduate training in New York City at New York University in Manhattan, where he completed an internal medicine residency in 2007, served as chief medical resident in 2008, and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology in 2011.
While he was working toward his fellowship, Dr. Olstein also focused on advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and therapeutic endoscopy, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He’s board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
In addition to his work at Gastrointestinal Associates of Rockland, Dr. Olstein is an attending physician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York, and Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York. He’s active in his medical community and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
